Abstract Painting Workshop

Inspired by the exhibition Denyse Thomasos: just beyond, this workshop will introduce participants to abstract painting in a welcoming and supportive environment where individual expression and experimentation is highly encouraged. Students will learn how to develop variations on a visual theme through mark making, building up textures and surfaces, layering colours, and incorporating shapes and patterns. Instructor Robin Adair will demonstrate and paint along with students. All tools and materials are provided. No previous experience is required.
$30 for members; $40 for non-members. This workshop is 18+. Capacity is limited so get your tickets soon!

About the instructor
Robin Adair is a visual artist and art educator who has been teaching in Saskatoon for over 15 years. He believes that when students are given understandable tools to practice art in a safe environment, they are empowered to take ownership over their own creative development.
