Sustained Artist Mentorship Program

Remai Modern’s Sustained Artist Mentorship Program supports local artists working in the realm of performance and public practice. The program engages artists for a one-year period.

Successful applicants receive financial supports, access to museum resources and professional development opportunities. The museum works in collaboration with each artist to develop a program that includes research, public engagement such as artist talks or workshops, and the development and presentation of new work or work in progress. The program requires some group participation with other program artists, guest contributors and museum staff.

Participating artists receive a fee of $12,000 payable in three instalments. The museum also pays fees for public engagements as appropriate. In addition, artists receive a Remai Modern membership, access to staff insight and expertise and mentorship opportunities with visiting artists, cultural workers and other community leaders.

2024-2025 Sustained Artist Mentorship Program

Remai Modern is proud to announce the newest participants in our Sustained Artist Mentorship Program, designed to support and grow Saskatchewan’s vibrant artistic community.

Lindsay Harpham is a professional contemporary dancer, dance educator, choreographer, adjudicator, and Kinesiologist. She has worked with companies such as Red Sky Performance, Larchaud Dance Project, Gadfly and has performed in professional dance tours throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.

Since 2009, Miki Mappin and Kyle Syverson have collaborated as KSAMB Dance Company. Together they have performed more than 80 works, exploring post-capitalist and socially engaged models rooted in collaboration and improvisation.

Rawda Mabrouk is a dancer, choreographer, designer and multidisciplinary artist based in Saskatoon. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, she has trained in diverse forms of dance since childhood. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Product Design and certification in movement training, she integrates dance, design, and visual art into an interdisciplinary practice that explores body, material, and space. Her work is guided by curiosity, storytelling, and a belief in movement as a transformative force.

Through mentorship, access to facilities, and opportunities for public engagement, this program nurtures artists across disciplines—supporting practices that resonate locally and beyond.

Stay tuned for more about how these artists will grow their work through the program this year.
