Set in the international world of classical music, Tár centres on Lydia Tár, widely considered one of the greatest living composer/conductors and first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra.
This August, Cinema at the Museum presents a series of films in conversation with community screenings with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra that showcase music, theatrics, dedication, performance, and ambition through various cinematic lenses and visions. These films examine the complexities of stardom, precision, artistic relationships, and personal expression through the world and art of music.
