A Case of You: The Music of Joni Mitchell

The Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra was the first orchestra in the world to give a live performance of Joni Mitchell’s music from her orchestral albums Both Sides Now and Travelogue. That show has now been performed by orchestras around the globe.

In fall 2023, the SSO was joined by vocalist Sarah Slean and Maestro Karl Hirzer to perform a new concert featuring Mitchell’s hits, including Hejira, Blue, River, Both Sides Now, and more!

The SSO first launched streaming of their concerts during the 2020 lockdown. Since then more than 600,000 people in 57 countries have experienced SSO streaming performances. Having garnered a reputation of innovation and remarkable programming, the SSO’s 93rd season was its biggest and best yet. This community screening is a previously recorded performance and is presented in partnership with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. This screening is free and open to the public.
