On March 14, the must-attend party of the year invites you to feel—and create—the pulse of the artistic community. Journey into visual and auditory rhythms and dynamic movement at LUGO Frequencies, Remai Modern’s latest iteration of its signature art party. Expect new artist collaborations, unexpected encounters, and inspiring creativity around every corner.
Capture the vibrancy of the night with outfits that evoke perpetual motion. From the restless waves of fringe to metallic fabric that flickers with movement under party lights, we suggest styles that look best during a twirl on the dance floor.
As always, LUGO will feature bites from some of Saskatoon’s best restaurants; cocktails, mocktails and more; and an epic end of night dance party.

Alexa Hainsworth Vibratory
This installation brings together suspended and grounded textile forms to explore states of transition, protection, and weight. The hanging elements hover overhead like fragments of shelter, glyphs or drifting sound. Their layered translucent surfaces allow light and shadow to pass through and multiply across the space.
Shadows function as an extension of the work, activating the walls and ceiling and positioning the viewer inside the installation rather than outside it. Moving through the space, the body becomes aware of its own scale and vulnerability, caught between suspension and grounding. You may float through the space or sit in contemplation among the creatures and forms.

Her work is guided by curiosity, storytelling and a belief in movement as a transformative force.
