Shelley Niro: 500 Year Itch Curator Tour
Please join us on a tour of Shelley Niro: 500 Year Itch to be led by guest curators Melissa Bennett, Art Gallery of Hamilton Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, Greg Hill, Artist and Curator, formerly Audain Senior Curator, Indigenous Art, National Gallery of Canada, and David Penney, formerly Associate Director of Museum Scholarship, Exhibitions, and Public Engagement at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. The three will speak about key themes that are threaded throughout the award-winning exhibition as well as the major works in the installation that have come to define Niro’s impactful practice, which spans photography, painting, film, installation, beadwork, film, drawing, and mixed media.
